Flashing Guide: Camera Shutter Sound
Description
This process will either remove or re-add the shutter sound to your Sony Ericsson camera phone. There are two possible methods, one taking place during a firmware flash and the other by using the "Flash Custom Files" option in the client software. There is no additional charge for adding the patch to a regular software update.
Drivers
Please be sure that you have the USB flash drivers installed before beginning.
Patch Files
You can use one of two files during this operation; this file will remove the camera shutter sound, this file will add it. Download according to your needs.
Software Update Method
1. Connect your handset to the client software while holding the "C" button.
2. Choose "Software Update" at the service selection menu then click next.
3. Select the desired firmware package from the list.
4. Click on "Advanced Options" and scroll down
to the "Customize Filesystem" box. Check the box and point the client to either
camera-shutter-sound-remove.zip or camera-shutter-sound-add.zip, depending on
which you want to flash.
5. Press "GO".
Flash Custom Files Method
1. Connect your handset to the client software while holding the "C" button.
2. Choose "Flash Custom Files" at the service selection menu.
3. Click on the "CDA" box and point the client to either camera-shutter-sound-remove.zip or camera-shutter-sound-add.zip, depending on which you want to flash.
4. Press "GO" and allow the process to complete.
