Flashing Guide: Debrand/Rebrand Sony Ericsson Handsets

Description

The process applies to all supported handsets from Sony Ericsson.

Battery

Because flashing consumes a great deal of power from the handset's battery it is important that you charge your battery to 100% before beginning the process.

Drivers

Please be sure that you have the USB Flash drivers fully installed.

Client Software

Please be sure that you are running the latest version of the DavinciTeam client software; the latest version can always be downloaded here. You will also need to have an active account with us with at least 10 credits.

Flashing

1. Run client.exe. Input your details.

2. Be sure your handset is powered OFF. Connect the device via USB cable while holding down the "C" button (some phones require holding "2" or "5" button)

3. Following the initialization phase a popup window will appear; this is the service menu.

4. Select "Flash/Debrand/Rebrand" and click "Next".

5. Highlight your desired firmware package with a single click and then click "GO". If you want to debrand and update you should choose the latest generic version (you can do this by selecting the "latest" and "generic" options to filter the list, then select the version of your choice). Sometimes generic firmwares are labeled as "Customized". Make sure you have "Finalization" option checked.

6. Allow the client to download the necessary files and install the firmware.

7. Once the process has completed your handset is ready for regular use.

NOTE: Screenshots in this guide were made while flashing a Sony Ericsson DB3150 handset. The same code shown in the client while you flash will reflect your model's hardware.
